 A small town just across the border from Grand Saconnex. We can even walking to this town from where I live now. We go there to buy our grocery because it's a lot cheaper there than in Geneva. Because our limited budget, we have to shop smart.
I think this small town is quite lovely. Suburban typical town. The old house look pretty. Even the chateau and the cemetery look old and nice. Every Saturday, there is a farmer's market held out in this town. You can find almost anything in this market. If you looking for a fresh vegetables or fruits, you can find it in here. Sometimes we buy our vegetables, fruit and bread in here if we're not to lazy to get up in the morning. The farmer's market open from 5 a.m till 1.30 p.m. Pictures of Ferney-Voltaire taken with Hipstamatic can be seen in here.  Pertama kali pergi main ski waktu ikut pertukaran pelajar tahun 1993-1994. Ya...18 tahun yang lalu. Waktu itu diajak oleh host sister & host brother. Bukan pengalaman yang menyenangkan karena langsung main dari atas gunung padahal berdiri diatas ski aja gak bisa. Walhasil setelah jatuh bangun berkali-kali, saya putuskan untuk turun jalan kaki sambil menjinjing peralatan ski turun. Keesokan harinya, badan saya pegal-pegal dan lebam-lebam.
 Last day in 2011 and in few hours will be the beginning of 2012. We try to found out what Geneva will have for the count down. Some rumors said that Geneva not have fireworks this year. And in their website, they only said about light and trees festival and bands playing in Old Town. Yeah...the celebration was held in Old Town Geneva.
So...we decided to go there around 9 o'clock. We buy daily bus ticket that can be used until 3 a.m. We're leaving home with a thermos of hot chocolate and camera. Taking bus and then continued with tram and ended with walking to the Old Town. The night is quite cold but there's no snow. |
