 Every August 17th Indonesia people celebrate the Independence Day. A lot of things we do to celebrate it. Some people held a big party and playing a lot of games. That's also happened in our residency Jatinegara Baru.
We have quite big party and it takes more than 1 day to do the celebration. Yesterday, they have the last two event: Parade Sepeda Hias (bicycle parade) and Panjat Pinang (palm tree climbing). Panjat Pinang was held out for the first time in this residency. Kaysan as always he did in last two years, decided to compete for the Parade Sepeda Hias. We had decided to make the bicycle's decoration from things we have in our garage. The theme is reuse and recycle. With Ayah, Ibu and Tante Tia as the creative team, Kaysan's bicycle turn out to be Balon Udara (hot air ballon) and he ready to compete. And the result he got the most unique bicycle's decoration. Panjat pinang was another fun, with greasy and oily palm tree trunks and interesting gifts they tried to reach. There's a team of 5 people who try to get to the top of the tree and get the gifts. A friend of mine in facebook invite me to see the meteor shower. And I post the invitation just incase other want to see it too. I've seen some last year and would like to see it again.

Sebagai seorang penggangguran yang selalu sibuk mencari kegiatan, hari ini saya ikutan acara Workshop Peta Hijau Jakarta. Sebenernya sih ini juga karena diajak sama kakakku yang notabene adalah salah satu kordinator pembuatan peta ini.
Workshop yang semula direncanakan akan mulai jam 9 mengalami sedikit kemunduran khas orang Indonesia jadi jam 9.30. Pada acara ini kita dikasih pengantar mengenai GreenMap dan juga rencana pembuatan peta hijau Jakarta. Peta ini rencananya bertemakan tentang transportasi ramah lingkungan. Jadi...berdasarkan rute transjakarta, KRL dan bike lane akan dibuat daerah-daerah yang memiliki potensi untuk melakukan kegiatan yang environmental friendly. Kegiatan ini bersifat volunteer. Jadi siapa aja boleh ikut dan memberikan kontribusi. Salah satu acara di workshop ini adalah berlatih membuat peta hijau dengan ikon-ikon yang ada di daerah monas. It has been a few days being unemployed. Not really unemployed because there's a lot of things to do about Nacel Open Door. But since last Monday, I'm officially unemployed. Why? Because I don't have any job, because I haven't got my diploma, because the graduation day held on August 30th, 2008. So....I'm jobless...except I had to make a poster for NOD.
But that doesn't make me sad at all. I really enjoy the spare time I have. I read all novel I had to kill the time (because I don't have any budget to buy new books). But I enjoy it. Eventhough my husband don't really like it because when I read a book, it seems like I make a wall around me and be in my own world :) But...ever since he got a lot of night shift in the hospital and feel really tired in the morning, so the habit isn't bugging him at all :p Besides that I also spend a lot of time cooking food. Sometimes I still smell the food all over my body :p I even spent a lot of time in front of my lovely apple, making things, writing blogs, playing facebook, editing picture etc. I love being unemployed. Maybe for a while....  Masjid Sultan Abu Bakar Johor Bahru Finally I had a chance to go to Singapore and Malaysia. After all this time, with $56 dan RM150 I went to Singapore and Malaysia :)
It was started with a Wira's friend wedding, Najib, in Johor Bahru. Najib is one of Wira's bestfriend back in medical school in Padang. He came from Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Wira already booked a flight long time ago to Johor Bahru with Air Asia. And I just booked mine only a few days before wedding day, so I bought flight to Singapore instead. The flight was cheaper than going straight to Johor Bahru with Air Asia. So here I was going to Singapore by myself. The planned was I went to Johor Bahru from Singapore and will be pick by Yasin, another Wira's friend, somewhere in Johor Bahru. And then we'll get Wira at the airport in Johor Bahru. The flight was quite nice. No bumpy ride along the way. And the immigration went smoothly. I took MRT from airport to the closest station to the border. Just like a tourist, I took time to learn to used MRT ticket machine. Something new for me, since in Indonesia we bought train ticket at ticket box. That's OK since I had plenty of time. I also learned how to get to closest station to the border. Where I had to change MRT and then took bus. I planned to sightseeing for a while in Singapore before crossed the border but unfortunately it was raining when I got of the MRT. So I decided to continue to go to Johor Bahru. |
