While waiting for train home, this kid passed by with his family. He brought a bajaj replica that can make sound like a real bajaj. He really enjoy his toy and really attracted our attention :)

It's quite a bright day today. Thinking about taking this picture every time I passed this road and today I make time to do that. I spent the rest of the day and night at the office working on sponsorship thingy.
We attended a meeting in Karawang today. Got a view black cloud on the way home. But thanks God we didn't meet the rain or storm on the way. We also buy grapefruit on the street vendor.
This train station is nearby my home. A lot of trains passed by. But the most amazing thing is I sometimes don't realise we they passing by. Expect when they honk the horn. If I pay attention, I can feel the home is shacking.
It nice to live nearby the mass transportation. I saw this on the way home when walking from Taman Ismail Marzuki to Cikini train station. I found this in 3 places. I guess someone nice sharing a cat's food and water for feral cats. And I like to share it with all of you.
It isn't that easy taking kids with public transportation in Jakarta. Especially when you are taking lots of them. But we always try to take kids that joined in Jurasik to use public transportation. Like yesterday we take them with commuter line to Taman Ismail Marzuki. Before that we take them use Transjakarta bus.
Before we start our trip usually we tell them where we are going, where we are going to take the train/bus and where we are got off the train/bus. We also tell them how to use automatic ticket, how to buy it and take some of them to buy the ticket. Beside that we tell them the rules that apply in the train/bus such as cannot eat/drink inside the train/bus, how to behave in public transportation and other things that cross in our mind. We believed you need to know how to use public transportation to survive in life. Today I accompany kids to Planetarium at Taman Ismail Marzuki. After talking a little bit about astronomy with Ceca last Monday, it's time for them to experience themselves. Of course taking 17 kids ride train and continue with 800 m walking aren't easy. But surely we had a great experiences.
I've been several times to planetarium, but today's show is different from the one I used to watch. Maybe it's a new show. My sister told me that they had 9 movies but only 1 that playable. It's a nice place to take your kids and family to Planetarium. I got up late today. It's been awhile since my last time awake at 11 o'clock :) Today I stay at home and finished up some stuffs need to be done days ago.
This picture taken around 4 pm and it seems the rain is ready to fall from the sky. But until night the rain still hasn't come. The air feels so humid and hot.
Back to theatre. Well...it's been a while since I see a play. Usually I went to watch Teater Keliling because one of my best friend, Vea, play a role. Today I got a free ticket to watch Teater Tanah Air play an operetta about one of the music maestro in Indonesia, Ismail Marzuki. The operetta is a part of an event to celebrate 100th years of Ismail Marzuki. It's a great performance.
Ismail Marzuki was born on May 11th, 1914 and create around 200 musics and songs when he died at age 44. Some of his songs are Halo-halo Bandung, Gugur Bunga and Rayuan Pulau Kelapa. I'm cleaning up my room and try to gather all the certificates I had to renew my license. Still not find some of it :( I need to be more organized :p
While some adult teach kids how to ride motorcycle, we always consistent in teaching kids to ride their bike when come to Taman Baca GARASI. We always welcome kids who come with bicycles or walking rather than ride motorcycles by their own. Except when their parents or adults drive them. All we need now is bike racks :)
Taman Baca GARASI has a guest today. His name is Ceca. He shares his knowledge about the first men who went to outer space. Ceca just turn out 10 two weeks ago. He likes astronomy and joined HAAJ (Himpunan Astronomi Amatir Jakarta).
The cough turn out worst than yesterday. I spend most of the day in my room and try to spread to other people at home.
I went to refresh my mind on anaesthesiology even though I didn't feeling too well. But this morning I feel better and it's getting worst in the afternoon.
I'm not feeling too well since wednesday. I'm having common cold and I think it grew into laryngitis. My voice became hoarse and I'm coughing all day. Unfortunately I have to babysit Amira since her baby sitter went home a week ago. Hope she won't get sick too :(
Today, Taman Baca GARASI has 3 guests, Shino, Bri & Izzy. They are an exchange student for Japan and USA. They are staying in Indonesia for a year. They speak Bahasa Indonesia. They come to Taman Baca GARASI to do presentation about their countries and play the kids. We are surely having fun.
It reminds me that 20 years ago I do this kind of presentation to first grade in Church Hill, TN and perform a dance in front all of them complete with the costume :) A glimpse of sun shine through the tree viewed from my sister's bedroom. The sun is almost set and rise in other side of the earth. I'm thinking about taking sunset pictures from the roof :)
In one of pancake recipe I found, it says to warm up the oven to put a plate and keep the pancakes warm. Since now my oven and my stove are in two separate room, so I try to figure out some other way to keep the pancake warm. The one I try is boiling a small amount of water and then put the plate on the top of the pan. The steam from the boiling water will keep the plate and pancake warm. After the water is boiling, you can use low heat/flame to keep the water warm. Well... it solve one of my problem :)
I'm spending all day with Amira. She's a bit cranky since she got sick and I can't put her down. Barely can do anything, not even have lunch.
Yesterday one of my uncle passed away and today is the funeral. It's always good to see happy faces in this gloomy day.
Pasar Jongkok (squat market) is one thing you can find in Jakarta. The buyer and seller have to squat when you pick or buy stuff. They sell new or old stuffs.
Today is Friday, not much thing to do today.
What do you eat today? I have toast with cream cheese for breakfast. Oh... I missed bagel and cream cheese... Today, Yani, Amira, Kaysan, Uni Shanty and I go to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. Yani's work have an event in Keong Mas. So she has to come and see it. We also watch a movie in Teater Keong Mas called Indonesia Indah IV. Around noon we go to Museum Prangko (Philatelic Museum). We are seeing a lot of beautiful Indonesian stamps. We also buy some stamps. Even Kaysan make stamps with Amira and him in the picture. We also prepared food for picnic and having lunch in the museum's porch. We are definitely having fun today :)
Hey... we finally done with the kitchen improvement last night. We finished up with all the sweat because the kitchen is really hot. But I'm sooooooo happy with the new improvement. Hopefully it will brought up the spirit to cook more food in this kitchen :)
