Saya pilih yang lite a.k.a. gratisan.

I love going out in good day especially if there's a company to walk with. Pictures of me taken by Wira.
Today, Wira and me went to Geneva 82nd International Motor Show & Accessories. The event was held in Palexpo Geneva from March 8th until March 18th. Entree ticket 16 CHF for all day pass, but Wira was able to got 2 free passes. Yeayy... It took almost 5 hours to go around the show. So many beautiful cars and some are our dream cars :) Actually, I didn't really understand about cars, but this is one of the event that Wira really looking forward to see. According to Wira, this is one out of 3 auto show that's worth to see.
On March 6th, 2012, Wira and I went to Raclette Night. This event was held by CAGI at Societe Des Vieux Grenadiers. We only have to pay 20 CHF for all you can eat raclette and first drink. In Geneva, this is a cheap price to eat. There's a lot of people come to this event.
The event start with explanation from one of the member of Societe Des Vieux Grenadiers. And then continued with ate raclette until you drop. It was fun and full. Today I took my 30 minutes walk on the street behind our apartment. It's a nice street with nice houses and other buildings. I took my camera with me and start taking pictures.
Geneva still frozen on the second week after snowy day. The temperature still reach 10 below 0. Because we still curious about more frozen around Lac Leman, we decided to go to Versoix. In Versoix you can see cars that froze near the lake. This cars had made news all over the world. So we had to see it ourself.
We took bus number 5 until Nations and continue with bus V until Versoix. When we reach Versoix, there's a lot of people. It became a touristic site in this few weeks. I took plenty of pictures and about an hour later we decided to went to go Carouge to take pictures in less icy place. Yeah...our feet started to numb after standing on ice for an hour. Note: Pictures of me taken by Wira. Pictures of us taken with Joby. From Versoix, we continue our journey to Carouge. Still in the area of Geneva, this place offer you different architecture with other part of Geneva. The building in here mostly only 2 floor, some are 3. This place has it's own charm. I've been planning to capture this part of Geneva for quite sometimes. And finally in a cold day, we went there and take some pictures. Still think about walking along the road and take more pictures of Carouge.
Note: Picture of me taken by Wira and picture of us taken with Joby.
Last day in 2011 and in few hours will be the beginning of 2012. We try to found out what Geneva will have for the count down. Some rumors said that Geneva not have fireworks this year. And in their website, they only said about light and trees festival and bands playing in Old Town. Yeah...the celebration was held in Old Town Geneva. So...we decided to go there around 9 o'clock. We buy daily bus ticket that can be used until 3 a.m. We're leaving home with a thermos of hot chocolate and camera. Taking bus and then continued with tram and ended with walking to the Old Town. The night is quite cold but there's no snow. This is one of nice place to go to especially during spring and summer. In here we can see 2 rivers join into one big river. River Le Rhône came from Lac Léman/Lake Geneva with clear water and we can see through the bottom. On the riverbank we can see some docks and we can swim in this river. This river will join with river Arve that came from France. What always amazed me this 2 river had different water clarity. Unlike river Rhône, water in river Arve not so clear. The color a little bit green and white. And when this 2 river join we can see the different of it.
Wira and I came to Jonction on Christmas day. We spend the day outside because the day so nice except cold temperature. The sunshine so bright and the sky so blue. We had picnic that day. We brought hot chocolate, food and fruit. Sitting down on the dock and watching water and people while enjoying our food & drink felt so good. I can imagined being in here on summer day. Note: pictures of me taken by Wira. Place des Nations is one place that need to visit when you go to Geneva. This place surrounded by plenty of UN organization buildings. One of the landmarks in this place is Broken Chair that commissioned by Handicap International and installed in 18 August 1997 and reinstalled on 2007 after the completion works of this place. In this place also installed water fountain. Usually the turn it on when the weather is warm enough.
To reach this place you can use Geneva mass transportation. There are plenty of bus and tram go to this place.
This are some pictures taken on first day in Geneva. We stayed at Mandat International. I had only one afternoon before went to Germany again. The weather was lovely. I love autumn when the leaves turn to yellow, orange even red. Spend the time walking around to see the beauty of Geneva. Note: pictures of me taken by Wira. |
