Since I knew that Wira will be placed in Khon Kaen, Thailand, I start to looking places to visit. I I found an application for iPhone that quite nice to have if we plan to go to or stay at Thailand. The application called iThai - Thailand Official Guide. It’s a free app :). And when we know our friend will come to Bangkok and then my sister 2 weeks after that, we start to look where we would like to go in Bangkok. And then I decided I want to visit Chatuchak Weekend Market, Floating Market, Ayutthaya and Jim Thompson House Museum. That was some places you can go if you stay 10 days in Thailand from iThai version. Since I already visit Grand Palace and lot of temples on my first visit, so I didn’t plan to go back there. From 4 places I planned, so far only 3 that really happening. Floating Market just to far away and Wira not really sure how to get there.
Finally I had a chance to visit Jim Thompson House Museum. We arrived there around 4 pm. You can get there by taking BTS to National Stadion. From there just look at the information board and it will show you where you have to go to. From National Stadion BTS station, you have to walk about 400 meters to reach Jim Thompson House Museum. Entry ticket for adult 100 THB and for children, student/international student 50 THB. Since both of us still have valid ISIC (International student card), we only have to pay 50 THB each.

Finally...on my third time visiting Bangkok, Wira & I had a chance to visit Ayutthaya. We went there with 3 other friends from Indonesia who’s having Asia trip at that time.
Ayutthaya took place about 86 km north of Bangkok. In 1350-1767, Ayutthaya was a capital city of Thai. It was once glorified as one of the biggest city in Southeast Asia. Today, Ayutthaya has groups of crumbling ruins and rows of headless Buddha where once an empire thrived. The architecture of Ayutthaya is a fascinating mix of Khmer (ancient Cambodian style) and early Sukhothai style. Some cactus-shaped obelisks, called prangs, denote Khmer influence and look something like the famous tower of Angkor Wat. The more pointed stupas are ascribed to the Sukhothai influence. We leave Bangkok to Ayutthaya at 11 am by air conditioned bus. You can take the bus from Chatuchak Bus Terminal (Mochit). It tooks 1,5 hours to get there. Otherwise you can take train. When we arrived in Ayutthaya, we used tuktuk as our transportation to get around. If you had spare time, you can rent a bicycle to get around. We spent 200 THB/person to paid tuktuk for 5 hours. Luckily, we got a tuktuk’s driver who can speak English. Wira was the one negotiated with the tuktuk driver. This is my project when I visited Chiang Khan. There's plenty of colorful flowers and butterflies... such a lovely view.
